I’m coming home
I’m coming home
Tell the World I’m coming home
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits and they’ve forgiven my mistakes
I’m coming home, I’m coming home
Tell the World that I’m coming
Those may be the lyrics to a Diddy ditty, or was he Puffy or Sean Combs or P Diddy or Puff Daddy at the time? Take your pick, bottom line is that I am coming home to Traverse City! I can’t think of a better place to have my first book signing. Born and raised in TC, MI the Cherry Capital of the World will always hold a special place in my heart.
It’s also fitting that the signing take place at the First Congregational Church where I was baptised and later confirmed; not to mention where I went to my first boy/girl dance. I can still remember that dance and the girl that my first dance was actually with. Who was it with? Well, you’l have to read the book to find that one out 😉
If you can make it to the signing I would love to see and talk with each and every one of you. I promise not to close up shop until the very last person has gotten their book signed. Remember, it will be Sunday, January 8 from 2:30-4:30pm at the First Congregational Church. Books will be on site for purchase.
I went as far as I could, I tried to find a new face
There isn’t one of these lines that I would erase
I lived a million miles of memories on that road
With every step I take I know that I’m not alone
You take the home from the boy, but not the boy from his home
These are my streets, the only life I’ve ever known,
who says you can’t go home
I think Jon Bon hit the nail on the head with that one. Even if he did get a little Sugarland assistance.
Only 24 more days to go!!!
