Well, my name may not be Jed, but I am on TV! Thank you Evan Pinsonnault and WLNS-TV6 of Lansing for producing The Mo Gerhardt Story. Every Tuesday morning during the month of February WLNS-TV6 will air a new chapter of my life. If you missed Part I, here is a link for your viewing pleasure.

Good Good Life

Oh, this has gotta be the good life
This has gotta be the good life
This could really be a good life, good life

I say, “Oh, got this feeling that you can’t fight”
Like this city is on fire tonight
This could really be a good life, a good, good life

What an amazing experience. My first book signing was a major success. The final count is still being tallied, but it appears somewhere around 200 books were signed and sold! As One Republic sings, I was definitely living the good life.

It was amazing to see everybody and I want to thank the people that waited at the end of the line. All the hugs, kisses and handshakes were great. Hopefully within the next couple of days I can get some pictures posted from the event.

I have had lots of questions from people that weren’t able to make the signing as to how they can get a signed copy. I’ve got a couple of answers to that question. If you live in the East Lansing area, be patient as I know of at least two signings that will be taking place in February. There will be a media event prior to that which will release all the details. If you are outside of the East Lansing area you can email me at to request a signed copy of a Hard Cover edition. Unless we know each other, payment needs to done through Paypal. Paypal is easy to use, 100% secure and best of all, it’s free!

When you’re happy like a fool, let it take you over
When everything is out you gotta take it in

I’m Coming Home!

I’m coming home
I’m coming home
Tell the World I’m coming home
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits and they’ve forgiven my mistakes
I’m coming home, I’m coming home
Tell the World that I’m coming

Those may be the lyrics to a Diddy ditty, or was he Puffy or Sean Combs or P Diddy or Puff Daddy at the time? Take your pick, bottom line is that I am coming home to Traverse City! I can’t think of a better place to have my first book signing. Born and raised in TC, MI the Cherry Capital of the World will always hold a special place in my heart.

It’s also fitting that the signing take place at the First Congregational Church where I was baptised and later confirmed; not to mention where I went to my first boy/girl dance. I can still remember that dance and the girl that my first dance was actually with. Who was it with? Well, you’l have to read the book to find that one out 😉

If you can make it to the signing I would love to see and talk with each and every one of you. I promise not to close up shop until the very last person has gotten their book signed. Remember, it will be Sunday, January 8 from 2:30-4:30pm at the First Congregational Church. Books will be on site for purchase.

I went as far as I could, I tried to find a new face
There isn’t one of these lines that I would erase
I lived a million miles of memories on that road
With every step I take I know that I’m not alone
You take the home from the boy, but not the boy from his home
These are my streets, the only life I’ve ever known,
who says you can’t go home

I think Jon Bon hit the nail on the head with that one. Even if he did get a little Sugarland assistance.

Only 24 more days to go!!!
